Oklava strives to create a fair and transparent tipping policy for all of its staff and guests. A industry-wide standard 12.5% optional service will be added to all bills, all of which is distributed amongst staff with no further deductions made, aside from those charged by our credit card provider to handle the transaction.

Any additional tips left by a customer are for the individual server, to keep or distribute as they see fit with other members of the team who may have assisted them with their service. The company has no involvement in this process, and does not make any kind of deductions whatsoever.

Oklava is very proud to support Switchback - an intensive rehabilitation charity for 18-30 year old offenders based in East London.

Switchback Trainees are supported to make real, authentic, long-lasting change after their release from prison and are five times less likely to return to custody than other ex-offenders.

Our team are committed to helping Switchback Trainees develop their skills and find employment opportunities in professional catering and other fields.

 

We offer work placements, tours of our kitchens and practical help with CVs and interview techniques. We also add an optional £1 to all our bills, 100% of which is donated to this fantastic charity. These donations will help build on the successes Switchback have seen so far and help more young men to stick to their commitment to live life differently.
